With a desire to be part of the Rehab process, she worked at a long term care facility as a recreational therapist for several years only to be drawn to work directly with the physics of the human body and her hands. Kelli's discovery of the field of O&P happened when she was exposed to the O&P Certificate Program at Newington Children's Hospital. She quickly recognized that the O&P field was an even better fit for her desire to help people, to work with her hands, and to be part of the rehabilitation process. Kelli attended the Newington Certificate program for Prosthetics and graduated in 1999. She completed her residency at a local O&P practice in Glastonbury CT and subsequently took a position at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital. Over the years, Kelli has continues to develop her professional expertise through learning about the ever increasing amount of new technologies in the field of Prosthetics while working at various Orthotic and Prosthetic facilities and Rehab Hospitals throughout New England. She has broadened her knowledge with experience in cutting-edge upper and lower limb prostheses. Kelli has also had extensive experience in the successful use of many different types of prosthetic technology including microprocessor knees and digital scanning of the patient's limb. She has now returned to Glastonbury CT to be an important member of our team at Adaptive Prosthetics as the leading Prosthetist. When not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family.
