Robert Lin
Robert S Lin has been practicing in the greater Hartford area for nearly 4 decades. He began his career in pediatrics at the Newington Childrens Hospital/CT Childrens Medical Center O&P department ascending from resident to director, taking special interest in professional certification and education standards in his chosen profession. This culminated in his serving as both president of the American Board for Certification and Chairman of the NCOPE Board. As the founder of the Newington Certificate Program/University of Hartford MSPO programs he has been instrumental in the education/training of scores of practitioners throughout the U.S. Having authored numerous book chapters and journal articles, Bob has also lectured worldwide on Orthotic clinical practice but is secretly working on his NY Times “bestselling” medical murder mystery! In his spare time he is an accomplished artist with oil on canvas as his favorite medium. A former tennis player in college he now takes on the challenge of mastering the game of golf. Professionally, Bob is thrilled by the opportunity to refocus on the purity of patient care with his colleagues at Adaptive P&O.

Dave Hewett

Dave enjoys assisting people on their journey to independence and overcoming their challenges in life. This passion carries over to the day-to-day operations of the practice and the growth of the business. He is always forward thinking and focusing on the best way to care for patients, staff and the business as a whole. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing people renew their quality of life. When you see someone get up and walk for the first time after a traumatic incident is so rewarding. Dave really enjoys getting to know each and every patient and many of his patients have become good friends. Dave has been a certified Prosthetist and Orthotist for over 24 years. He has a very diverse background with complicated cases from his time working for Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Springfield prior to opening Adaptive Prosthetics & Orthotics in 1997. He has traveled to Haiti, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to help children with limb loss in mission clinics. Dave is specialized in both upper and lower limb prosthetics. Previous to being in the medical industry, Dave was an aircraft mechanic. He feels his mechanical background really helps him when working with prosthetics.Dave is an avid skier who loves spending the winter months on the slopes with his boys when they are not playing lacrosse. He also enjoys volunteering for Skiers Unlimited teaching disabled children to ski.

Troy Fink
Troy is the manager of the Pittsfield, MA office. He has been serving the population of Berkshire County since 2008, and has been working in the Orthotic and Prosthetic field since 1992. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Troy has earned post-graduate certificates in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Cal State University (Rancho Los Amigos) and University of Connecticut (Newington Program), respectively. Troy lives with his wife and son in Latham, NY. When not working, he enjoys camping, hiking, kayaking, skiing and making furniture in his woodshop.

Kyle Miller

Kyle is an serves in the Hartford and Glastonbury offices. He completed his orthotic and prosthetic master’s degree at Northwestern University, where he was the 2018 recipient of the Tamarack Award for excellence in orthotics. Prior to beginning his residency, he volunteered with the Range of Motion Project to provide prosthetic care at a clinic in Guatemala. In addition to patient care, Kyle’s professional goals include conducting research to further the body of knowledge regarding O&P interventions. He recently presented research at the 2018 AAOP Academy Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium exploring the validity of wearable sensors for outcome measurement of lower limb prosthesis users. When he is not at the office or providing emergency on-call care at Hartford Hospital, Kyle can often be found walking or running in the woods with his partner Kelsey and.

Brittany Boscarino
Brittany is an Orthotic/Prosthetic Resident. She completed her masters of science degree in prosthetics and orthotics at the University of Hartford, where she was elected as the 2019 recipient of the Regents’ Honor Award for Graduate Students and 2018 recipient of the Allyn L. Golub Orthotics & Prosthetics Research Assistant Scholarship. As a graduate student Brittany completed research on measuring functional variables of K2 unilateral transtibial amputees utilizing K3 prosthetic feet and presented the findings at a national and regional American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics meeting. She also served as a reviewer for the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics Outcomes Research Committee during her time at the University of Hartford.

Dave is an Certified Orthotic Fitter in the Pittsfield, MA office since opening in October 2018. He was trained while in the Navy where he served for 21 years. Dave became certified while working at Cooke & Burnell Orthopedics for the past 32 years leaving there in early 2018 after the business closed

Carly recently rejoined our team. She has been working in compression since 2016 starting on the administrative side and now combines that with the patient side. She is currently in the process of getting her orthotic fitter certification. She has a passion for patient care and strong knowledge of computers. Fun facts about Carly are that being a former hockey player, she is an avid hockey fan. Her favorite week for TV is Shark Week.

Kim is a board certified pedorthist and mastectomy fitter, she has 25 years of experience in patient care with a focus in compression garments and post-mastectomy fittings. She resides in northeast Connecticut where she spends her free time with her three children and dog Kiwi.
John Skudlarek
John has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for 10 years with extensive orthotic and adaptive wheelchair experience in the sub acute nursing environment. He is currently training for his Orthotic Fitter certification. John lives with his wife and son and enjoys running , music and science fiction movies.
